The Peru Tigers traveled to Yorktown 9th and 10th grade tournament today to wrestle in a 17 team tournament. Out of the 17 teams our tigers placed 3rd behind McCutcheon who got 2nd, and Muncie Central who placed 1st.
Thaddeus Black was the lone tiger Champion going 3-0 at 170 lbs. Second placers helping the tigers in their scoring were Devin Reagle at 182 lbs with a record of 3-1 and Austin Caldwell at 160 lbs who went 2-1. Also placing third for the Tigers was Jake Steele at 138 lbs with a record of 3-1. Other tigers that helped bring home third were Zach Ashely who placed 5th with a 2-1 record at 170 lbs, Tori Forrest 1-3 at 138 lbs, Austin Black 1-2 at 145 lbs, Bryce Stapleton 1-2 at 152 lbs, Keith Cole 0-3 at 195 lbs, and Zach Kern 1-3 at Heavyweight.
