Peru Wrestling results

The Peru Wrestling Team recently came back from Boudro Wrestling Camp (June 23-26) where they placed 6th out of 20 teams from around the Midwest.
Peru went 2-1 in the Preliminary Rounds. They would defeat Michigan small class state qualifiers Lexus (52-15) as well as Team Badgers (36-26) before losing a very close dual to Michigan Class 2A quarter finalists Mason (30-34). Their performance would qualify them for the Championship Bracket of the tournament. Peru opened up with a dominate performance of Michigan large class state quart finalists Malcolm Dakota (45-25). Peru would then lose their next two duals to Michigan large class state qualifiers Grandville (18-38) and Marysville (28-38). Peru would then finally drop a back and forth dual with Clarkstown of Michigan (32-34) to place 6th.

During the four days, the Tigers had a great experience from the numerous College All-Americans and National Champions. Peru also enjoyed time at the historic Mackinaw Island and Mackinaw City in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
