Peru Wrestling Team Placed 8th out of 32 teams winning 38 matches to 23 losses and had 5 wrestlers place in the top 8. This tournament featured 43 currently ranked individual wrestlers and 6 ranked teams. Connor Quin was defeated by the eventual Champion Jake Hartman from South Bend Clay to wrestle back to third place. Kegan Kern was put into the wrestlebacks by #1 ranked and eventual Champion Nick Crume at 126. At 138 Evan Loe was defeated in a rematch of the 2011 Championship by #1 ranked Tommy Forte of Mishawaka. Kaleb Hammersly wrestled through the consolation bracket to place 8th. The big excitement for the Peru Team was Senior Kane Rockenbaugh Pinning #3 ranked Scottie Sopko from Hobart that placed 8th place in the state finals at 160 in 2012.
